If an account was opened on the card, the card will be sent to the social security authorities. During the first half of the year, metro police caught and fined more than a hundred “hares” for administrative violations.

Then this information is checked against his personal data and it is determined whose card this may be. The grandson will face a different punishment: if he caused damage to the metro worth 1,000 rubles or more, then he will be tried under Article 165 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

All of them are Muscovites, and wealthy citizens. “Usually these are students of commercial universities, either working for the first or second year, or they are couriers. For example, on August 1, a sentence was passed on Oksana Sergeevna Mazikina, a fictitious student of the Moscow State University. From April 1 to May 30, she rode the subway 661 times using the “left” student social card. She was caught at the Otradnoye station, convicted and forced to pay damages: 12,691 rubles to the metro and another 5,000 to the state.
“When a person is brought to justice, not only will he not continue to do this, it will leave an imprint on him for the rest of his life. Moreover, he will warn his other relatives who are doing the same,” says Nadiya Alievna Morkhanova, legal consultant of the legal department of the capital’s metro.
They usually check during rush hours from 7 to 11, every day, but not at all metro stations. True, this will be corrected in the near future and all stations will be checked, albeit within a certain period of time.
Now they know which card a person has used - social or regular - by the light indicator on the turnstile. When a person with “social benefits” passes, the lights on the turnstile light up. At each metro station certain colors should light up, and at some stations all at once. Soon, in addition to the “light” system, they will use another one, but they did not say which one.

Dyakov added that in 2015, the number of cases of using someone else’s social card in the metro more than doubled. “The number of identified cases of using someone else’s social card in the metro has increased by 110 percent compared to last year,” he said.
