Cold weather warms you up and beckons you with the warmth of home

You buy me a palace, and I'll go back again

And the white, white snow will make me feel good

Indeed, despite the long winter, snow and frost, there is a lot of pleasant things in the life of the residents of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. This is northern romance, high salaries, good social protection, low level pollution environment, comparatively not high level crime. It is not for nothing that in 2013 Novy Urengoy became second, and Noyabrsk became 13th in our ranking of Russian cities most suitable for living.

Serious development of the lands of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug began in the late 60s of the last century. In a matter of years, modern cities with developed infrastructure grew here, where stern but romantic people lived. Thanks to gas production in the north and oil production in the south of the district, as well as highways transporting gas and oil, it has become one of the most economically developed regions of Russia.

In addition to workers for gas and oil rigs, scientists also come here. The indigenous population - the Nenets (Samoyeds) - are a very interesting people, with their own culture, customs, and beliefs. Historical and local history museums operate in the cities, documentaries are made about the peoples of the North, and their spiritual leaders-shamans, bearers of the wisdom of past generations of these peoples. Despite the nearby cities with the benefits of 21st century civilization, many tribes continue to live like their ancestors a hundred or two hundred years ago: they lead a nomadic lifestyle, hunting, fishing and breeding deer.

Geographical location. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is located in the north of the West Siberian Plain and is part of the Ural Federal District. The northern coast of the district is washed by the waters of the Kara Sea. On the map of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Yamal Peninsula especially stands out, the entire eastern coast of which is washed by one of the largest bays of the Arctic - the Gulf of Ob, with a length of about 800 km.

The neighbors of the district are: in the east - the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in the south - the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, in the west - the Komi Republic and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug of the Arkhangelsk Region. Most of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is located beyond the Arctic Circle. The entire territory of the district belongs to the regions of the Far North.

The largest river in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is the Ob. Other large rivers are Nadym and Taz. The landscape of the district is quite diverse. In the west these are the eastern slopes of the Ural ridge, in the north there is tundra, turning into forest-tundra as you move to the south.

Population Yamalo-Nenets District - 541.6 thousand people. 70% of them are people of working age. The region is characterized by very high fertility and low mortality. Natural increase population +11.4 people per 1000 inhabitants.

Russians make up 60% of the district's population. In second place are Ukrainians (9.37%), in third are Nenets (5.89%). The population is constantly growing due to migrants who come here in search of well-paid work. Meanwhile, others, who have already earned enough money, leave the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, moving to the south - to Tyumen or Moscow/St. Petersburg. It is not for nothing that Yamal is called the Russian Klondike - people come here in search of luck, and those who are lucky return back in triumph.

Crime. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is in 28th place in the ranking of regions in terms of crime levels. Of course, big money also attracts criminals of all stripes, especially organized crime groups. No wonder they decided to make Novy Urengoy a closed city. Among other problems, it is worth noting drug trafficking. It is especially developed here, and the level of drug addiction is northern cities very high.

Unemployment rate in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug one of the lowest - 0.58%. A average salary- one of the highest (RUB 63,132). But even here, the distribution of salaries across industries is uneven. There are also those where this value is below 20 thousand rubles per month. And the highest salaries in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug are in the field of extraction of fuel and energy minerals (who would doubt it!) - 93 thousand rubles. and in the production of petroleum products - 92 thousand rubles. per month.

Property value in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is one of the highest in Russia. By at least, in Novy Urengoy it is 103 thousand rubles per sq. m. meter. To buy the simplest one here one-room apartment, you need to pay at least 4 million rubles. In the suburbs of the city, prices are much lower - about 1.8 million rubles. Two-room apartments in the city they are much more expensive: 5.6 - 9 million rubles, “three rubles” 7 - 12 million rubles.

Climate The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is harsh, sharply continental. Cold Arctic air masses from the north easily come here, but humid air masses from the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans practically do not reach here. The average January temperature is −20°C, but frosts reach −30°C and even −50°C. Summer here is short - 50 days, but temperatures can reach +30°C. The amount of precipitation in summer is 140…150 mm. Thanks to the dry climate, frosts are tolerated much more easily here, which cannot be said about the heat.

Cities of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug

Salekhard- the administrative center of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, located near the confluence of the Ob River into the Ob Bay. And although this is not the most Big City in the region (population - 46.6 thousand people), we will begin the story about the cities of the district with it, after all, the capital. Translated from Nenets, its name means “city on a cape.” We don’t know how “city on the Arctic Circle” will be written in Nenets, but such a name would be quite suitable for Salekhard, thanks to its location.

The history of Salekhard begins in 1595, when the Cossacks founded the Obdorsky fort here. There are no large industrial enterprises here, so everything is fine with the environment in the city, as well as with the cleanliness of the streets. But there are problems with the Internet here - it is quite expensive, since fiber optics have not yet been installed. According to Rostelecom, fast Internet will come to Salekhard in April 2014.

- the largest city of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the gas capital of Russia. Population - 116.5 thousand people. Novy Urengoy is considered one of the best cities to live in Russia. Here, in some miraculous way, high wages and social protection, good ecological situation and low crime rates. Of course, the climate is what spoils the whole picture of Novy Urengoy, turning the city from paradise into an icy hell in winter. But you can get used to this, because the heating here is good, and the gas around is like snow. It is in Urengoy that the largest gas production enterprises in Russia, part of OJSC Gazprom, are located. For some time now, Novy Urengoy has been a closed city, which makes it possible to improve the crime situation.

(population - 108 thousand people) - the second largest city in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Founded in 1976, located in the very south of the district, on the border with Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The basis of the city's economy is oil production enterprises, and there are also enterprises for gas production and maintenance of oil and gas pipelines. Today Noyabrsk is also developing as a tourist center. There are many attractions here, including the largest in Tyumen region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug cathedral mosque.

Nadym(46.8 thousand people) - this settlement has been known since the end of the 16th century. After the revolution, a reindeer herding state farm was created here, and in the 60s, gas production began on these lands. It was with him that the development of the natural resources of the north began. Western Siberia. Thanks to the Medvezhye gas field, a small village turned into a whole city, with modern high-rise buildings, where reindeer sled races are held on the wide streets in winter. Nadym is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the Far North; in 2002 it received the title “The Most Comfortable City in Russia.” Today Nadym is the center of gas and oil production and gas transportation in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Financial issues are always considered one of the most popular, and conversations about salaries and how they compare with other salaries abroad never cease. In Russia, everything is ambiguous: some are trying with all their might to move to the country to improve their financial position, and some Russians dream of going to work in Western countries in order to improve their financial situation, which they consider to be worthless in their home country. The IQReview team is trying to figure out money issue in our country.

Of course the size wages depends on the region in which the specialist works. This is the main factor. The final amount is also influenced by the level of education and professional skills.

The average monthly salary in Russia in 2018 was 39,017 rubles in January, 40,443 in February, 42,364 in March, 43,381 in April, and 44,076 rubles in May. Although it increased in ruble equivalent compared to the same indicators in 2017, it became lower in dollar terms and amounted to approximately $620. However, it continues to remain lower than in the USA, developed European countries and even in Georgia and the Baltic countries.

In 2014, the average salary of Russians in dollar equivalent amounted to 907! To return this figure, experts say, the annual GDP growth should be no lower than 3%, but for now it is only 0.3%. The forecasts are disappointing. By the way, the average salary in Russian Federation never reached the thousand dollar mark. So far, an ordinary Swiss worker earns more per month than a Russian specialist per year. Lately Another trend has emerged.

The wage gap has widened among Russian regions. This is due to the fact that people, in search of higher earnings, move to those regions where they can get higher-paying jobs according to the principle: “fish look where it is deeper, but people look where it is better.” The IQReview team will help you understand all this.

The average salary by region in 2018 of the Russian Federation in May was 44,076 rubles. The picture reflecting the average earnings by region remains virtually unchanged over the years, with only slight increases or decreases in the figures in the columns of the corresponding regions.

As for the cities, here too the highest salaries are still in the capital of the Russian Federation, from 700 to a thousand dollars. The average salary of workers at Moscow enterprises in May was 81,064 rubles, in St. Petersburg – 57,190 rubles.

Level average monthly salary in May 2018 by region of the Russian Federation is presented in the table, according to data Federal service state statistics as of July 20, 2018.

It should be noted that the presented amounts do not reflect, or more correctly, do not always reflect the actual state of affairs. Indicators of average monthly wages by region or area of labor record only a certain level, such as “the average temperature of patients in a hospital.”

In each specific case, it is necessary to understand specifically, understanding that there is a big difference between the official and educational level of the same specialists in the same fields, but at different enterprises and companies. Meanwhile, no other officially recognized data has yet been invented, so we have to rely on the data provided by the Federal State Statistics Service. But... just be guided, and not take it “at face value” when applying for a job, for example.

Public sector wages increased by 5 percent

Salaries of public sector workers in January 2018 in Russia increased by 5%

At the same time, they increased overall from five to forty percent. Meanwhile, salary delays have become more frequent. Most often, public sector employees suffer from them - school teachers, preschool teachers educational institutions, university teachers, cultural workers and even law enforcement officers.

Analysis of public sector wage arrears

According to analysts, arrears in payment of wages are due to the untimely receipt of funds from budgets of all levels from municipal to federal, which in turn occurs due to economic crisis in the Russian Federation, which began in 2015 and continues its development in 2018. In 2018, the majority of complaints to the Administration of the President and Government of Russia came from Transbaikalia, where mass strikes of teachers took place in 2017.

In 2018, more and more complaints were received by the Presidential Administration

Indicators of delays in wages amount to several months and total amount 75 million rubles! Fortunately, according to experts, cases of delayed wages are isolated and depend on both objective and subjective reasons, the profitability of budget-generating enterprises, as well as competent administration.

The leader in debt in 2018 was the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Here, 7.8% of workers out of the total number of state employees did not receive their wages on time. In second place is St. Petersburg, where 6.9% of workers receive less income. Crimeans are in third place. Among them are 4.8% of those who lend to the state. Fewer offended employees - 4.3%, work in institutions and organizations of the Khabarovsk Territory.

The highest paid specialties

Sometimes the key role is played not by the specialty, but by the position held. Thus, employees of the Accounts Chamber receive a monthly salary of 170 thousand rubles, members of the Federation Council receive 150 thousand every month, State Duma deputies receive 123 thousand, and Kremlin employees receive 206 thousand.

Salaries of workers in these positions increased by 29% compared to 2017! As the poet said, “in the morning I spread a sandwich on a sandwich and immediately think: how are the people? And caviar doesn’t go down my throat...”

Lowest paid professions

Nannies and assistant teachers in kindergartens receive no more than eight thousand rubles. Postmen earn no more than 14,000 rubles a month. A salesperson receives an average of 17,000 rubles for his work, a secretary - 20,000 rubles, mechanics of utility companies - 23,000 rubles.

Postman is one of the lowest paid professions

In 2018, governesses also began to be classified as low-paid specialists, who began to receive no more than 30,000 rubles even in Moscow.

Salary levels by profession

The leaders are workers involved in the extraction of mineral resources - gas, oil, coal. In second place are new technologies - telecom operators, programmers, and those who work in the field of computer science. Scientific and technical activities are closely related to the latest specialties.

Depending on their rank, police officers do not receive much for their service - from ten to 23 thousand rubles. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations receive more, 25,000 rubles, and those who take part in dangerous operations receive even more, up to 60,000 rubles. V this year ranges from 20 to 25 thousand rubles, for a nurse from 10 to 15 thousand rubles.

The average salary depends on the region in which a teacher or kindergarten teacher works. So in Moscow and St. Petersburg they receive from 30 to 45 thousand rubles.

Oh those taxes!

At first glance, the salary amounts that Russians receive are not so small. However, due to the current tax system, when 44% is personal income tax amount And insurance premiums, employers are unable to pay both taxes and competitive wages.

Salaries in an envelope have become a special sign today. The employee usually receives minimum wage, determined in the region and a bonus determined by the employer. But even if you add the “white” and “Gray” salaries together, it still doesn’t work out, in fact, 44 thousand rubles...

Video on the topic: Composition of an employee’s salary

The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug topped the ranking of Russian regions in terms of wages for 2017. Here, almost 24 percent of workers earn more than 100 thousand rubles per month, while the share of low-paid vacancies is only 0.6 percent.

The second place was taken by the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, where 21 percent of workers earn more than 100 thousand per month. In third position in terms of the share of high salaries is Moscow with an indicator of 17 percent.

The difference in the level of labor income in the region was determined by experts from RIA “Rating” based on data from Rosstat. The main ranking indicator in the rating was the share of workers earning more than 100 thousand rubles per month (highly paid workers) and low-paid workers (less than 10 thousand rubles per month), as well as other indicators.

The number of regions where the share of high salaries exceeds 10 percent includes the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Magadan and Sakhalin Regions, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, Kamchatka Territory and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In Russia as a whole, only 4.1 percent of workers can boast of a salary (for minus personal income tax) more than 100 thousand rubles per month. In the northern, remote regions and Moscow, many goods and services are noticeably more expensive, but even with higher prices, such a salary is decent by Russian standards. In many ways, high salaries are compensatory, since the price level in the leading regions is quite high. However, not only the high cost of current consumption is compensated, but also the loss in comfort and quality of life due to harsh weather conditions and distance from other regions.

In Russia as a whole, more than 11 percent of workers earn less than 10 thousand rubles a month. This is significant social problem. As the results of the study showed, in 22 regions more than 20 percent of workers receive less than 10 thousand rubles per month.

The leading regions are characterized by a median salary (the level at which exactly half of the workers in the region earn more than this level, and half less) at the level of 53-59 thousand rubles, and in the poorest regions the average worker can only count on 14-15 thousand . rubles per month. In Yamal, the ratio of median wages to the cost of a fixed set consumer goods and services in the region is 3.6 - the maximum figure, in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic only 1.3 - minimum value. This indicator allows you to take into account differences in prices in different regions when comparing salaries. It turns out that, taking into account the price level, the difference between the average worker in the richest region and the poorest is approximately 3 times.
